Botox is a new dangerous teen fashion
Botox has long been popular with women (and men) at a specific age for the experience we call Souvenirs softening wrinkles. It is a personal and philosophical choice that to make some mature individuals, and less drastic and more expensive than plastic surgery. But now the process is becoming increasingly popular among teenagers, the New York Times reported.
Parents sometimes can not get their own fault lines on their children, but young people generally, they would – why they get Botox? Charice Pempengco is a 18-year-old singer from the Philippines, appear to “Glee,” the hit Fox series. She made waves last month when it was reported that they get Botox treatment to her face look less round.
She told Philippine television, “I want to look fresh when I appear on camera,” during the visit at which their doctor, Vicki Belo, injected her jaw. There is nothing new for TV celebrities to cosmetic procedures in the hunt for glory to embrace, but to win now seems Botox traction among non-celebrities as well as adolescents.
According to the American Society of Plastic Surgeons, 12,000 young people received Botox injections last year. It is unclear how many of these procedures were for legitimate medical reasons, such as relief to stop the pain from temporomandibular joint disorder (TMD), or a twitching eyelid, but plastic surgeons acknowledge that many teenagers are looking for procedures for cosmetic reasons.
These perceived deficiencies are overly square jawline and gummy smiles. Dr. Samuel Lam, facial plastic surgeon in Dallas in an interview with the Times, says he has 100 Botox procedures done on teens for surgical facial overhaul. “Many young people tease each other about things that we as adults might not consider as important,” he said.
With Botox for cosmetic reasons in teenagers is not only a matter of philosophical debate, it can also have undesirable side effects. With Botox gone wrong, you could end up with nerve palsy, a facial image, the fall could lead to drooling, slurred speech, or even – and this would not be so good to look on camera.
