Anna Paquin on Being Bisexual
Anna Paquin came out as bisexual via a public service announcement in 2010 – and has said she wants to end the ‘prejudice’ towards bisexual people by being open about her sexuality. “There is a lot of prejudice against us but the more people talk about it, the less of a deal it will be,” she told W magazine.
“Who people choose to sleep with or spend their lives with shouldn’t matter, not that anyone particularly cares who I’m attracted to,” she said.
Anna is married to her True Blood co-star Stephen Moyer – and says she has no trouble pretending to get sexy with him for the TV cameras.
“Maybe it should be weird, simulating sex with your husband in front of people. But it’s really not,” she said.
“When it’s a love scene with someone you actually love it’s not, ‘Can I touch him here, can I touch him there?’ You know what your boundaries are, or aren’t I suppose.”
She also doesn’t give a crap about the legions of True Blood fans who are dying to cop a feel of her handsome hubby.
“There is probably something wrong with me, but I find it amusing to watch these men and women fawn all over him,” she said.
“It’s not like anyone is really trying to do anything inappropriate. They just him to hug them… or bite them.”
