Love Hurts
People who are primed to think about how madly in love they are with a partner put down other appealing members of their own sex, and are even more aggressive toward them, compared with people who are instead encouraged to ponder sex with a significant other, according to new research.
“Love, arguably the most positive of all human emotions, also comes with a dark side,” study researcher Jon Maner, a psychologist at Florida State University, said. (more…)
Fall Asleep after Sex, Why?
You share the same interests with your partner. You make each other laugh. And you fall asleep after sex. The last point turns out to be an important indicator of intimacy, according to a recent U.S. study. Researchers at the University of Michigan and Albright College in Pennsylvania found those whose partners tend to fall asleep first after sex are more into post-coital cuddling and chatting.
“The more one’s partner was likely to fall asleep after sex, the stronger the desire for bonding,” researcher Daniel Kruger of the University of Michigan said in a press release.
The researchers noted that period of time after sex can be important for couples to bond and establish their commitment to each other.
Their study, published in the December issue of the Journal of Social, Evolutionary, and Cultural Psychology, examined the responses of more than 450 online survey participants. (more…)
Why is the Female Orgasm so Difficult to Catch
Nearly every week I receive an email from at least one woman asking me what she needs to do to have an orgasm during intercourse, or worrying that something may be wrong with her because she can’t. Yet I rarely, if ever, receive the same question from men.
The simple fact is that the male orgasm typically comes easily during sex and female orgasms do not. The late Dr. Alfred C. Kinsey, famous for interviewing thousands about their sex lives, declared that 75% of men ejaculate within two minutes of penetration in over half of their sexual encounters. (more…)
Bad Sexual Chemistry Is a Relationship Dealbreaker
Many women (and some men, too) fall in love and think they can “fix” the person they’re with. He may have bad hair, she may smoke, he could snore at night or wear the wrong clothing. Most of these problems can be dealt with, but there some that cannot and sexual chemistry is the biggest.
A recent letter to The Daily Mail relationship expert asks this very question: Can a relationship survive when you have everything in place but the good sex? The answer, sadly, is a resounding no. If the sex is bad, the relationship must end.
Oh I know. I can hear the groaning from here. But the answer holds firm. Try as you might to believe otherwise, sexual chemistry is an absolute deal-breaker in a relationship. It may seem shallow, but it really isn’t. (more…)
Things that Scare Women About Sex
Men might always dream of having sex the way they do in porn movies. But sex can be fun and exciting only when both the partners share a comfort level. Are you aware there are certain things women feel uncomfortable about while having sex? Remember most women don’t have sex for the sake of sex, and they don’t want men to treat them like a sex kitten. Women like to get naughty, for them sex should be an outcome of love, passion and romance. To make life easy for both men and women, we bring you five things that scare women while having sex.
1. Anal sex Anal sex gives a different pleasure compared to regular sex, and it’s getting all the more common these days with couples, but you are advised to never shock her with it. There are women that don’t get aroused by anal stimulation. So men should always know what kind of women they are in bed. If it has been a bad experience in the past, she’ll be off it for the rest of her life. (more…)
Sex Can Make You Look Younger
Did you know that a healthy sex life can keep you looking younger? In fact, a healthy sex life could be seen as the fountain of youth, says a study from the Royal Edinburgh Hospital. It reveals that women who have sex at least four times a week were scored as looking up to 10 years younger than their natural age.
However, more than 1,000 women aged 18 and above suggests this doesn’t count for very much. Making love a few times a week is reckoned to be sexually healthy, but only one in three women were having sex a few times a week, and two in three were having sex once a week. (more…)
Sex is the Best Way to Boost Happiness
Making love boosts happiness more than anything else, a new research has found. The “Mappiness” project, which was run by researcher George MacKerron in conjunction with the London School of Economics, asked more than 45,000 Apple smart users to record their activity, location and happiness up to five times a day via a special application.
They received more than three million responses over more than a year and the results were fed into a so-called hedonimeter that tracked the nation`s mood minute by minute. The researchers found that Christmas Day was the happiest day of the year and people were the most content at 1.50 pm on 25th December.
They also found that there was a spike in Britain`s happiness on the day of the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge`s wedding on 29th April, but people were at their lowest ebb on 31st January, at 8 pm. (more…)
